The Future of Basketball Chess

Got lots of different plan for Basketball Chess, and I hope to continue updating Basketball Chess and this website for the foreseeable future!

On my website, there are many variations to playing Basketball Chess (if you have any suggestions to add to my game, please let me know!), and the next project I plan on launching this holiday season is Basketball Chess Story Mode, essentially a Tabletop Role Playing Game resource or even game engine. What I hope to create are adventures and game scenarios for basketball enthusiasts, where a campaign can revolve around being a basketball champions or creating your own dynasty/career. Also, I hope to make a system where you can easily implement a Basketball Chess game into any type of TTRPG (maybe instead of slaying goblins, you decide to play a game of pickup basketball and wager gold). Also, part of me wants to make official additions to Basketball Chess (A few people have asked about me making a "deluxe" version of Basketball Chess, or a new game altogether, but to be honest I need to sell more of my original board games before I even think about making any new physical copies of anything.

Also, some people haves asked me whether I’m going to make a digital version of Basketball Chess, and while I don’t have any plans to make a AAA title or anything, it is on my life-time bucket list to make a video game or two with the Basketball Chess theme!

That being said, I really don’t have much experience with video game development, and computer coding seems to be a daunting task with all the different languages like C+. Java Script and Lua.

The game engines I have on my laptops are RPG Maker 2003 and Unity (haven’t touched those at all), as well GB Studio and Pico-8…Pico 8 is by far my favorite game engine, and I have completed a game in GB Studio (Called Robo Maze). I recently took a class from the Nerdy Teachers on YouTube, and I am looking to make small games in my free time.

Basketball Chess Pico-8 edition is the first official game I've made with the Pico-8 engine (the link to play it for free is on my website Basketball Chess Pico-8 Edition), and I hope to make

some more byte-sized games in my free time during 2027. I also would like to make a Game boy game in GB studio that has a Basketball Chess theme as well!

Also thinking much further out, I want to make a game similar to" Michael Jordan: Chaos in the windy city" on the SNES, which is a Basketball themed platformer…. I don't have the skills to create something like that for now, but we will see in the future!

Football Season 2026!

The NFL is back, and while I'm not expecting much as a Dolphins fan, some of my best memories revolve around football. Growing up at my congregation, it was tradition to have a weekly football match
